NEIL BOWDITCH remained unbeaten throughout all 12 rounds to help his side win Ghyll GC's 2015-2016 Winter League title.

Neil, Liam Bowditch, Carl Hillary and Jonny Schofield clinched victory ahead of Shaun Hills and Alan, Bob and Sam Bugler.

The latter quartet needed to come out on top in both their matches in the last round to force a play-off, but could only win one and had to settle for runner-up spot.

The team of Danny and John Blackmore, Gavin Datkiewiecz and David Walling came in third.

Gary Marflitt and Dave Gilbank won the Winter Tankards event at Filey GC with a combined score of 21-under-par 121.

It left them five shots clear of Lee Franks and Linden Gray with Paul Gaines and Bill Ross taking third place a further shot back.

The 15th event in Birley Wood GC's Winter League series was on by 16-handicapper Anthony Searle with a nett 66, on count back from Terry Jones (83-17-66) with Des Gardiner third (89-21-68).

Bracken Ghyll GC staged their rescheduled December medal and eight-handicapper Dave Lampkin won the Division One category with a gross 75 net 67.

Lampkin finished one shot clear of Mick Tennant (75-7-68), who edged second place from Alan Pritchard (80-12-68) on count back.

Division Two honours went to Chris Page (83-17-66), who won by two shots from Tony Fox (88-21-68). Simon Murgatroyd (88-20-68) was third.

Temple Newsam GC beat Cookridge Hall GC 3-2 to progress to the fourth round of the Mail on Sunday Classic.
