FULNECK GC's three new captains drew an impressive and impressed crowd at their joint drive in ahead of the club's Monday Night Eclectic competition.
Bets were taken on how far each drive would go and the three - men's captain Harry Reason, lady captain Debs Smith and rabbits captain Rob Gillespie - all performed well.
The longest was from Gillespie at 212 yards, who wanted the record to show that it was into the wind, played with his three-wood - and "amazingly it went down the middle".
Woodsome Hall GC's retiring lady captain Anne Taylor raised over £2,000 for her chosen charity, Prostate Cancer, during her year in the role.
Janet Armitage, her successor - who will be supported in the 2016 season by vice-captain Liz Nicholson - has selected Kirkwood Hospice as her charitable cause.
This year Woodsome Hall has its first girl as junior captain, Victoria Kelly, who will be succeeded in 2017 by Charlotte Eastwood.
