Ferres commits to Castleford Tigers
CASTLEFORD second row Brett Ferres has signed a new three-year contract with the Tigers.
The 23-year-old had two years remaining on his previous deal but has now agreed amended terms and removed a get-out clause from his contract.
Ferres joined his hometown club prior to the start of the season having had previous spells with Bradford and Wakefield.
Ferres, who has made 18 appearances and scored eight tries this season, is now committed to The Jungle until the end of the 2012 campaign.
Coach Terry Matterson said: "I have been very impressed with his efforts since joining the club, he is very professional in everything that he does and I'm sure that he isn't too far away from a recall to the England squad."
Ferres made four appearances for England in 2006.
