Hull cleared to sign Kiwi Lauaki
NEW ZEALAND forward Hame Lauaki has been cleared to join Hull after being granted a visa.
The 25-year-old was signed from New Zealand Warriors earlier this year but his arrival has been held up by red tape.
Lauaki had to prove he could speak English, despite living in New Zealand for over 20 years, but has now received the necessary document and the club say, once his passport has been returned, they will make arrangements for him to fly over.
Hull chief executive James Rule said: "This has been a long and frustrating process, however our patience has been rewarded and we are all excited about welcoming Hame into our squad."
Lauaki is currently sidelined with an arm injury and will continue his rehabilitation with club physio Simon Pope on his arrival.
