Hull KR's Cockayne banned for grapple tackle
SECOND-PLACED Hull KR will be forced to field a depleted back line in Friday's engage Super League game against Harlequins at Craven Park.
Winger Liam Colbon has been ruled out with a rib injury and utility player Ben Cockayne was tonight handed a one-match ban by the Rugby Football League's disciplinary after being found guilty of a grapple tackle in Rovers' 22-6 defeat at Huddersfield.
That was Cockayne's first appearance for more than two months after completing 240 hours of community service for assault.
Cockayne, who was also fined 300, deputised for centre Jake Webster against the Giants and was set to switch to either full-back or wing against Harlequins to cover for the absence on international duty of Shaun Briscoe and Peter Fox.
At least Rovers coach Justin Morgan had some good news from the disciplinary hearing, with prop forward Nick Fozzard cleared to line up against Harlequins after avoiding a ban.
Fozzard was found guilty of raising his knees in a tackle during the Huddersfield game and was given a warning as well as a 500 fine.
