The France international has been limited to just three games for the club this season due to a serious shoulder injury and only made his comeback at the end of May.

Since then, he has also spent time at Newcastle Thunder to build up his match fitness, but is relishing being part of Rovers’ side tonight in a crucial game visiting Huddersfield Giants.

Larroyer, 27, recalled: “It was very hard. I had the injury the year before in pre-season, too.

“I was out for four or five months but I’ve been lucky this time because my missus was pregnant so that took the injury off my mind.

“I’ve been focusing on the baby and working hard to get back stronger. I came back against Catalans – maybe I wasn’t ready then – so I went to Newcastle, played a few games and that gave me a lot of confidence for my mind and my shoulder.

“I feel fresh in my mind and body and want to give some good performances for the club before the end of the year.

“I think I’ve played well over the last three and I’m focused.

“I want to give that type of performance even more, enjoy it and keep the positivity flowing,” he said.

The match this evening is vital as whichever side loses will be consigned to the Qualifiers.

Hull KR – who endured the Middle Eights last year – know if they can secure a win, their slim hopes of reaching the top-eight will remain for another week at least.

Huddersfield, however, inflicted leaders Hull FC’s first defeat in 11 games last week and are seeking a third successive league victory to keep their own hopes of redemption alive.

“We haven’t thought about defeat,” insisted Larroyer, who came off the bench to help earn a 16-16 draw against high-flying Warrington a week ago.

“It’s clear in our mind; we have three games, and if we prepare well we can win the three, starting this Friday.”

They saw James Green red-carded last week, so the prop starts a two-game suspension, but Larroyer said: “That gave us lots of confidence as we played the majority of the game with 12 men and didn’t give up.”
