Sheffield Eagles were humbled 46-6 by a red hot London Broncos side at the Summer Bash in Blackpool.
Oscar Thomas scored a hat-trick for Broncos who also fielded coach and former Eagle Andrew Henderson.
Elliot Kear and Rhys Williams picked up two tries apiece, Ben Hellewell delivered the other. The Eagles’ only score came in the first half through Cory Aston.
Kear scored the opening try after four minutes before Williams wowed the crowd when he ran the length of the pitch to score.
The Eagles fell further behind when Quentin Laula- Togagae let a bobbling ball bounce through his legs, Hellewell was on hand to punish Sheffield.
Kear scored his second try before the 20-minute mark. Wes Naiqama converted all four tries to take the score to 24-0. Just as Sheffield looked to have found their feet London scored yet again as Thomas rounded off an intricately worked move.
Sheffield’s only try came through Cory Aston as the Eagles enjoyed a positive end to the half.
Broncos reasserted their dominance after half-time with Thomas’s second try as he was set through after a superb run from Kear.
Laulu-Togagae had a try ruled out for obstruction as everything was going against Sheffield.
Thomas bagged his hat-trick moments later when he steamed through a deflated Eagles back line, before Williams completed the scoring.
