Richie Mathers led the way with four scores while Dean Collis added two as Wakefield built on last week’s demolition of the Catalan Dragons.

Agar said: “For two weeks running we have racked up 50 points and that takes some doing.

“It shows that we have some real promise as an attacking unit.

“We played it simple and we punched holes in their defence, and some of the tries we scored were created by great bits of skill.

“We have had some tough times, but we have come out the other side better for it.

“There are still lessons for us to learn, but I am really pleased with a lot of what we did today.”

Mathers struck twice in each half as the Wildcats ran in nine tries to sentence the Londoners to a fifth straight defeat.

The Wildcats recalled Collis following his suspension, with prop Scott Anderson back in the line-up after a knee injury.

Wakefield took the lead on seven minutes, Mathers finishing after Pita Godinet had been held just short.

And within two minutes Mathers had added his second, the full-back romping home after Taulima Tautai had broken through the Broncos defence.

A try-saving tackle from Denny Solomona stopped Peter Fox creeping in at the corner before the Broncos went close, Solomona adjudged to have gone into touch as he dived to score.

The Londoners got on the board when Thomas Minns finished after Scott Moore and James Cunningham had combined well.

But the Wildcats eased ahead, Jarrod Sammut seizing on a loose ball to stride clear before tries from Collis and Reece Lyne.

Paul Sykes appeared off the bench for the visitors to open the second half, making his 300th appearance in the process.

But it was Mathers grabbing the headlines, shrugging off some woeful tackles to bundle over the line to complete his hat-trick.

The Wildcats eased off after that, seemingly content to sit on their lead and take a breather.

And that offered the Broncos the chance to conjure up their second score, Solomona finishing neatly after Ben Farrar had taken out the Wakefield defence with a looping pass.

Normal service was resumed on 65 minutes though, Collis adding his second as he bounced off a series of would-be tacklers to crash over at the posts.

Five minutes later Solomona showed his finishing instincts once again when he crossed after good handling from Farrar and Mason Caton-Brown.

There was still time for the inform Wakefield to chalk up their eighth try, Godinet pouncing on another loose ball to stroll over to score.

London captain Matt Cook then muscled his way over after a Cunningham pass with five minutes to play, but Trinity’s Mathers was to have the final word when he shrugged off more poor tackling to surge over from close range.
