Club captain Matt Challinor is one of a number of players who has re-signed with National One champions Doncaster Knights for next season.

The second-row forward has committed his immediate future to the club as they prepare to embark on their return to the Greene King IPA Championship.

Director of rugby Clive Griffiths has also persuaded Bevon Armitage, Colin Phillips, Dougie Flockhart, Glen Kenworthy, Paul Roberts, Ross Davies, Tom Davies, Phil Eggleshaw and Will Foden to sign contract extensions at Castle Park.

The Knights have also tied down two of their more primising front-row forwards for the foreseeable future.

Jack Bergmanas, 21, has signed a new one-year contract while Ben Hunter, a hooker who featured 16 times last season, has signed a new two-year contract.

Long-time Knights servant Adam Kettle, 31, has agreed ton join Yorkshire One side Doncaster Phoenix, on a playing and coaching deal, who also play at Castle Park.
