London Skolars 0 York City Knights 34

A hat-trick by former Doncaster forward Neil Lowe was the highlight as York City Knights virtually secured their play-off spot in Co-operative National League Two with a 34-0 win at London Skolars last night.

Lowe completed his treble with two solo tries in the last four minutes to round off a good night for Mick Cook's men, who now have a week off before ending their regular campaign with a home match against the division's whipping boys, Blackpool Panthers.

Kyle Palmer set up the first try of the night with a break down centre-field, with the ball being moved smartly to the left where winger Alex Godfrey finished off.

Lowe also crossed before the break and Ryan Esders added two penalties to his two conversions for a 16-0 half-time lead.

Adam Sullivan, then crossed over just before the hour-mark after good work by Scott Rhodes and Esders.

Skolars' loose-forward Chris Lynton was sin-binned for preventing a quick 20-metre restart and the Skolars' slim hopes went with him, before Lowe wrapped up the match with his late double, Esders and prop Ryan MacDonald adding the extras.
