With a promotion play-off place secure in the Greene King IPA Championship, Rotherham Titans have shown no let-up in their recruitment for next season.
Lee Blackett’s side have secured the services of 22-year-old centre Lloyd Hayes for a further two years.
Limited to just eight appearances this season, Blackett believes Hayes can have a big impact on the Titans’ future.
“Lloyd has massive potential, he’s extremely dangerous going forward and he’s got a great kick on him,” said Blackett.
“He’s also very versatile and we can use him in several positions; although I think his strongest positions are outside centre and full-back.”
Rotherham conclude their Championship regular season campaign at Ealing Trailfinders today.
With their season already extended, the fixture has greater meaning for Ealing.
The Trailfinders’ surprise win at Plymouth last week saw them climb out of the one relegation spot and above Jersey.
They have a two-point cushion on the Channel Islanders who travel to Bedford Blues today.
