Video: Rugby World Cup volunteer programme in Leeds

World Cup winner Jason Robinson today launched the Rugby World Cup volunteer programme at Leeds Beckett University.

Leeds lad Robinson was joined by Yorkshire Carnegie players Lee Imiolek and Jon Clarke to speak with volunteers and rugby fans at the university.

England Rugby 2015, the Organising Committee for Rugby World Cup 2015 (RWC 2015), was staging Volunteer Try Outs to find members of ‘The Pack’, the 6,000 volunteers who will welcome the world to England and the Game of Rugby next year.

Robinson OBE, Clarke and Imiolek met the volunteers and experienced the selection process first hand.

Imiolek said: “It’s exciting that the World Cup is coming here and we have a couple of great games in the city that people can get excited about.”

Italy face Canada at Elland Road on September 26 with Scotland taking on the United States the following day.
