Mark Selby will be looking to collect a hat-trick of trophies when the 888.com World Snooker Championship cues off on Saturday.
The Leicester potter helped launch the Championship earlier this month, going through his table routines at Sheffield Train Station, and he is determined to go one better this year after losing out to John Higgins 12 months earlier.

That Crucible final was the kickstart for a successful 12 months which has seen him win the SAGA Insurance Masters and Welsh Open titles.

"I'm high on confidence at the moment, my form has been really good," said the 24-year-old.

"It can't be any better coming off the back of winning two tournaments. I'm preparing for it right and I'm looking forward to it.

"Now I've got titles under my belt there's no reason why I shouldn't have self-belief. I think that's what was a little bit lacking before, but now I've got it, I'm a danger."

For an in-depth preview of this year's World Championship, see Saturday's Yorkshire Post newspaper.
