An original photograph of Brian Jones, the legendary guitarist and founder of the Rolling Stones, is on sale in Harrogate for a four-figure sum.
The colour snap of Jones, priced at £1,500, was shot by Gered Mankowitz, the veteran British photographer who made his name capturing portraits of the likes of Kate Bush, Jimi Hendrix and Slade over the last 50 years. He also toured with the Stones in 1965.
The powerful image, signed by the photographer and displayed by Balmain Antiques, is one of several 60s rock culture items being shown at The Pavilions of Harrogate at the Great Yorkshire Showground this weekend.
Early Egyptian works of art, including some which are more than 2,000 years old, are also being shown by AB Antiquo.
