LOUIS TOMLINSON, the One Direction star from Yorkshire, has admitted that he finds some of the attention he receives to be “scary”. Tomlinson was speaking during an appearance on Carpool Karaoke - on James Corden’s The Late Late Show - as

The Doncaster-born performer was joined by Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Liam Payne, as they belted out songs such as What Makes You Beautiful. Carpool Karaoke has become a social media phenomenon - and the appearance of the boy band was a roaring success.

When asked about the attention, Tomlinson said: “It does get a bit scary when people are close to your house. I remember I tweeted that there’s nothing worse than waking up in the morning and you can’t have a cup of tea because you’ve got no milk. Within an hour, I looked out and someone was ringing my bell relentlessly. It was a 45-year-old woman. She came to the door said ‘here’s the milk’.”

The band will be under-going a hiatus, which began after their final three shows at the Sheffield Arena. Looking ahead, 23-year-old Tomlinson - who is a fan of Doncaster Rovers - said: “It’s going to be interesting for all of us. It’s going to be interesting to see what each of us do as individuals. Throughout the break, I think it’s going to be cool.”

Corden’s show airs every Tuesday night on American television. One Direction’s appearance made waves on Twitter, as the band showed their personalties and joined in with some choreographed in-car dancing. During the routine, Corden pulled out five identical denim shirts, which everyone in the car put on, then they all sang No Control.

At one stage of the video, while waiting at traffic lights, the group are alongside a car full of screaming females. Payne said: “She’s been following me for a while that one, I’ve seen her a couple of times now.”

There was no sign of Zayn Malik in the car though, with the star from Bradford having left the band in March - with Corden left to fill his shoes on the video. Malik apologised to fans when he made his exit nine months ago, leaving the group to carry on as a four-piece. One Direction decided to take a break at the end of this year, having spent five years amid a busy schedule.
