THE magnificent Leeds Town Hall was the setting the 2012 Lord Mayor’s charity carol service. The Yorkshire Post was there to join in the Yuletide celebrations.

The audience was treated to selection of festive songs by the Rothwell Temperance Brass Band and the Leeds Philharmonic Chorus, who performed a selection of well known favourites from “Once in Royal David’s City” to their own special version of “The Holly and the Ivy”. Money was raised for Crohn’s and Colitis UK.
