York Potash appoints new MD
Mr Watling will be responsible for leading the project through feasibility studies to construction and production.
He will be based at York Potash’s new offices in Scarborough.

Hide AdSirius said Mr Watling has nearly 30 years’ experience in mining and has been responsible for leading some of the most successful project developments in the global mining industry.
He was chief executive of African Minerals, where he was responsible for the development of the greenfield Tonkolili Project, a fully integrated iron ore mining and infrastructure project in Sierra Leone.
Prior to that he held a number of senior positions at Rio Tinto and Fortescue Metals Group.
Mr Watling said: “The York Potash Project is the most important and exciting mining development in the UK and comes at a time when the region is in genuine need of economic stimulation.”
