Ashville College celebrates record year for A-level results
In this year’s exams, forty six per cent of Ashville College’s students have achieved either A* or A marks, continuing the upward trend enjoyed over recent years.
Ed Keen saw individual success, achieving three A*s and securing his place at Cambridge University to study Law. Alice Butcher, another Ashville student, will also take her place to study law at Oxford University.

Hide AdA Majority of students have secured places at top universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, Edinburgh, Warwick, Newcastle, and Bristol.
Headmaster Mark Lauder said, “We are highly delighted with this year’s record breaking A-Level results.
“They reinforce our position as a school that is committed to excellence in academic performance, through fully resourcing the steps required for each individual pupil to achieve their best.
These outstanding results show this is clearly working for the benefit of our pupils.

Ashville’s BTEC Sport qualifications first results also included outstanding performances, with 75 per cent of students achieving a Triple Distinction, the equivalent to three A* grades.
Headline figures for Ashville’s 2016 A-Level results are:
- 46 per cent of all results were A*-A
- 15 per cent of students passed with straight A*/As
- 76 per cent of all results were A*-B
- 97 per cent overall pass rate
- Record value added score (indicating that students have significantly exceeded their predicted grades)
