Archbishops’ records set to go online
The registers of 21 archbishops between 1225 and 1646 – said to be one of the most important collections of historical materials in England – will be made available online for the first time following the project.
The series contain records from across the North of England, and give a unique insight into ecclesiastical, political and cultural history of a period that saw the Black Death, Wars of the Roses, Reformation and the Civil War.
