Man admits dumping fridges

Jamie Greaves, 20, of Pickering Park, dumped the fridges on land at Glencoe Street on March 8. The fridges were set on fire by an unknown person causing the release of harmful pollutants.

Greaves was traced after an investigation following information from members of the public.

Jamie Cass, of Hull Council, said: "Residents throughout Hull are fed up of the mindless flytipping imposed on them by a minority of anti-social people. This successful case sends a message, loud and clear, to the mindless minority that if they persist with their activities, they will be caught and prosecuted."
