Airport splits opinions again
YET another letter about Leeds Bradford International Airport (Yorkshire Post, May 29). What the Harrogate gentleman fails to explain is how more air bridges etc can be financed without increased passenger fares.
I will continue to use LBA several times a year using the excellent half hourly bus to get there and back.

Hide AdTwo hours on a train to Ringway, Teesside or Finningley? As an ethnic Tyke – no way.
From: Mrs Jan Oddy, Bramhope, Leeds.
I WROTE to the director of Leeds Bradford Airport a couple of years ago when my husband and I, returning from Tenerife in February, endured a soaking and freezing wait for a taxi after having to walk and wait without any kind of cover from the terminal.
I suggested that a covered walkway was the least that could be provided.
He said two things – that major improvements were to be carried out, and suggested we wait inside the terminal building!

Counting cost of green energy
From: EB Nalton, Syston Grove, Lincoln.
I MUST congratulate Bernard Ingham on his excellent column (Yorkshire Post, May 29) criticising the dangerous actions of this government in imposing the current green energy policy.
The cost of this insanity is destroying our nation at every level. Every MP who voted for the current Climate Change Bill should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. Carbon dioxide is a plant food, that is all.
