TV treat as Downton drops in at Betty’s
YORKSHIRE favourite Betty’s Tea Rooms makes a cameo appearance on TV’s Downton Abbey next week.
The programme’s art directors created their own small, fictional version of the cafe, with images and branding from the Harrogate-based company’s archive - and using real cakes, bread and specialities in the windows.
The series is currently set in 1924, five years after the opening of Betty’s first tea rooms in Harrogate.
