The decision to withdraw some staff follows armed groups disrupting access to a number of government ministries in Tripoli.

Hide AdForeign Office (FCO) travel advice warned of the potential for violent clashes in the capital.
It stated: “In light of this political volatility, there is a potential for violence and clashes between rival armed groups. Avoid any demonstrations or large gatherings of people. If you become aware of any nearby violence you should leave the area immediately.”
The FCO advised against all but essential travel to Tripoli, Zuwara, Az Zawiya, al Khums, Zlitan and Misrata certain coastal towns, and has advised against all travel to Benghazi and the rest of Libya.
