Rotherham United v Blackburn Rovers: Taylor plays long January game in striker hunt
Like many across the EFL, the Millers are waiting for the 'dominoes to drop' at other clubs, regarding the availability of certain players on their wish-list.
This week, Taylor has brought in defensive duo Sean Morrison (pictured) and Leo Hjelde. With all due respect, recruiting players with a proven pedigree in front of goal is more onerous at this time of year – with competition pretty intense.

Hide AdTaylor, who is without two of his frontline strikers in Tom Eaves and Georgie Kelly, said: "We've spoken to countless players. A lot of situations are dependent on what happens elsewhere.
"It isn't always just ourselves and said players involved in these negotiations. Sometimes clubs elsewhere are also involved. A lot of these players are contracted elsewhere.
"We have to be respectful of that situation. If players are under contract, it has to be on those clubs' terms first and foremost, as we're finding out at the moment.
"We're under no illusions how difficult the market is, but we still have to be quite positive about what we can potentially achieve."

Hide AdIf wrestling with form and injury issues is not enough, the spectre of the club losing some of his leading lights this month can also be thrown in the mix for Taylor.
With the likes of Dan Barlaser and Chiedozie Ogbene out of contract in June – having not agreed fresh deals yet – the Millers may face a decision between now and January 31.
The club have already rebuffed bids for unnamed players this month.
Taylor added: "We feel we have put our best foot forward and the best opportunity of our football club in front of that group of players.

"We know what might come in the future or at the end of the season, but the most important aspect for any player is the next game of football."
