Transfer Gossip (Monday): Premier League clubs queueing up for Leeds United striker | Quartet chase Hull City midfielder | Sheffield Wednesday braced for Rhodes bid
Hull City’s Sam Clucas is attracting the interest of four clubs in the Premier League led by West Brom who see the Tigers star as a strong alternative to Everton’s Gareth Barry.
West Brom boss Tony Pulis is on the hunt for a new central midfielder following Darren Fletcher’s move to Stoke City.

Hide AdThe Baggies have reportedly set their sights on prising Barry away from Goodison Park but Clucas is regarded as a strong backup plan should Barry stay with the Toffees.
Clucas is also attracting the interest of Leicester City, Newcastle United and Burnley.
Hull, meanwhile, are trying to land Oxford United winger Marvin Johnson but have seen a £1m bid rejected. Oxford boss Pep Clotet said: “Marvin is not for sale.”
Burnley are one of several Premier League clubs interested in signing Leeds United star striker Chris Wood and the Clarets have already seen a £12m bid rejected.

Hide AdThe Whites are also rumoured to have received another separate bid of £16m from another Premier League side which has also been rejected.
West Brom are also among the clubs credited with having an interest in Wood, along with Stoke City and Swansea City.
Leeds will wait to discover the extent of Everton loanee Matthew Pennington’s ankle injury before deciding whether or not to pursue another centre-back option.
United are also keen to sign Hamburg striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga.

Hide AdElsewhere in the Championship, Middlesbrough are closing in on a deal to sign Birmingham City defender Ryan Shotton who is valued at around £3m. The 28-year-old can play at either centre-half of right back.
Sheffield Wednesday - who already have well documented problems with Ferenando Forestieri - are braced for a big-money bid for striker Jordan Rhodes from free-spending Wolves.
Wolves - who have started the new Championship with two wins out of two - are plotting an ambitious £20m double move to land both Rhodes and Norwich City striker Nelson Oliveira.
Wolves’ Conor Coady remains on the radar of Sheffield United, despite the Blades already having seen one approach for the 24-year-old turned down earlier this summer.

The 20-year-old Ghanaian enjoyed a fine season with the Reds last season, making 33 appearances whilst also representing his country at the African Cup of Nations.
