Dewsbury Rams 10 Keighley Cougars 42: Jones inspires Keighley to derby triumph over troubled Dewsbury
Keighley finished second to Championship One winners Dewsbury last season but Barry Eaton's side were far the better at Tetley's Stadium yesterday.
Danny Jones led the Cougars' charge to victory with a superb individual display.

Hide AdJones kicked Keighley into a second-minute lead from a penalty and was on hand to burrow over for his side's first try which he also converted.
Jones then sent Will Cartledge storming over for a try which the scrum-half also improved to put the Cougars 14-0 ahead.
Tom Wandless replied with a fine individual try for the Rams before the break but their hopes of a second-half fightback were dashed as Andy Shickell stormed over for an early Keighley try which Jones improved.
Dewsbury's Scott Turner was on the end of a good move to score, Pat Walker adding the touchline goal only for the Cougars to respond with four further tries. Jones sent George Rayner between the posts and soon after his half-back partner John Presley drew the Rams' defence and sent substitute Greg Nicholson racing over.

Worse was to follow for the Rams as Presley was on the end of a fluid move to score an unconverted try wide on the left before Daley Williams crossed at the side of the posts and Jones converted to cap an impressive display by the Cougars.
