YORKSHIRE clubs are starting to make their moves in the transfer market. Here's the latest from the rumour mill:

Doncaster Rovers have agreed a deal to sign Ashford United forward Max Watters on a two-year-deal.

The 19-year-old will join the club on July 1, and becomes Darren Ferguson’s second signing of the summer after the arrival of defender Tom Anderson.

Watters said: “I am over the moon, it’s always been an aim of mine to try and get a contract in the EFL so now it’s about working hard to keep improving.

“It is such a friendly club and when I came here on trial they couldn’t have done anymore for me, the squad were really welcoming from my first day.

“I noticed the manager likes to give young players a chance, hopefully I have made my mark with the coaching staff to show them what I’m capable of.”

Hull City have turned down two bids for out-of-contract defender Max Clark - one from Dutch outfit Vitesse Arnhem and the other from an unnamed Championship club.

Last week, the club offered fresh terms to Clark.

The Tigers had previously tabled the full-back with an offer last year, which went unsigned and have now gone back in with another offer for the same money.

The offer means that Clark will not be able to leave East Yorkshire on a free transfer.

Should Clark depart, a fee would be set by an independent tribunal because the left-back is aged under 24 but two clubs interested are keen to avoid that scenario.

It is expected that Vitesse, managed by former Tigers chief Leonid Slutsky, will return with a second bid this week to test the Tigers’ resolve.

West Ham United are reportedly ready to listen for offers for former Leeds United defender Sam Bryam.

The former Elland Road favourite has struggled to make a huge impact at the London Stadium so far after arriving in January 2016, with the Hammers now ready to cut their losses and sell the player.

The 24-year-old managed just 247 minutes of Premier League football for the Hammers this past season.

Oxford United manager Karl Robinson is interested in signing Sheffield United midfielder Samir Carruthers - having formerly worked with the player at MK Dons.
