All the world’s a stage for rising stars as student drama festival goes global

The National Student Drama Festival was founded in 1956 and Pete Postlethwaite, Meera Syal, Ben Miller, Antony Sher, Dennis Potter, Mark Ravenhill and Michael Billington have all performed at the festival.

For one year only, the NSDF is going global, becoming the International Student Drama Festival as part of the London 2012 Festival, the finale of the Cultural Olympiad.

This year’s highlights include an original adaptation of Ryan Mecum’s book, Zombie Haiku following the survivors of a zombie apocalypse through ruined houses and devastated cities and the world premiere of a previously unpublished Howard Barker play Five Names.
