Another big name joins the list on offer at luxury menswear retailer

Karl Lagerfeld has given Harrogate-based luxury menswear retailer Sudo Attire exclusive rights to stock its world-famous suits and casual wear labels, now available in the town for the first time.

The deal sees Lagerfeld join a selection of other high-profile designer brands new to the store, including Carlo Visconti, William Hunt of Savile Row and celebrity favourite Without Prejudice, which provides suits for BBC TV dramas Spooks and Hustle.

Film fans will be able to follow in the footsteps of actor Daniel Craig who models William Hunt suits from the latest James Bond films.

Owner (and chief fashion buyer) Mark Lane, who opened Sudo Attire in May 2009 after more than nine years in menswear retailing, said: "I realised that there was a gap in the market for exclusive high-end menswear in Harrogate and I am delighted to be able to bring the finest quality UK and Italian tailoring to the region for the first time.

"Now customers won't have to travel to Leeds or London to sample these world-famous brand names."

The new brands are available alongside existing menswear brands including Armani Collezioni, Kenzo, Gian Carlo Rossi and Christian Dior.

Sudo Attire is at 1 Station Parade, Harrogate. Visit www.sudoattire.co.uk or call 01423 528275.

Meanwhile, High and Mighty is relocating to a bigger and brighter location at Vicar Lane, in Leeds, this Friday.

The chain caters for tall and large men, who struggle to find stylish ranges that will fit them anywhere else on the High Street, with designers such as Ben Sherman, Ralph Lauren and Animal all featuring.

As well as casual and formal clothing, the store will offer a made-to-measure service, wedding hire and eco-friendly dry cleaning.

On Friday, there will be a 20 per cent discount on all purchases in store as well as a free Tommy Hilfiger gift for the first 50 customers through the doors.

A special preview evening will be taking place on Thursday April 15, from 6pm until 8pm, with champagne, nibbles and entertainment.
