Authors line up for literary lunch

bestselling author Simon Scarrow, TV actor Larry Lamb and maritime historian Dr Robb Robinson will be speaking at a literary lunch next month.

The trio will be signing copies of their latest books at the Hull and East Yorkshire Literary Lunch on March 23 at the Willerby Manor Hotel, Well Lane, Willerby.

Scarrow, whose books have sold over 1m copies, has penned his latest novel, The Legion, while Lamb, who plays Gavin’s father in Gavin and Stacey and the villainous Archie Mitchell in Eastenders, has written a memoir, Mummy’s Boy, which tells of his difficult relationship with his own father.

Maritime Historian Robb Robinson who is based at the Maritime Historical Studies Centre has contributed to a number of TV history programmes including Great British Railway Journeys and the BBC 4 Sea Fever series.

His most recent book – Far Horizons: from Hull to the Ends of the Earth – documents the experiences of many of the people and ships that spread Hull’s influence across the world.
