After walking the length of the Nile and the Himalayas, Levison - who had a narrow escape when his taxi plunged over a cliff while filing in Nepal - is currently trekking 1,700 miles along the length of Central America. His latest challenge will take him through eight countries before attempting to cross the treacherous Darien Gap into Colombia and SouthAmerica.

The Darien Gap has been described as “the most intense and brutal 90km of terrain anywhere on Earth” and few have made it across, let alone even attempted it.

Tickets for An Evening with Levison Wood go on sale at 10am tomorrow.
