Channel 5 adds Ben Fogle Yorkshire's 5 on the Farm Festival line-up ahead of 'weekend staycation'

Channel 5 has revealed new names joining the line-up of its first ever outdoor 5 on the Farm Festival.

Ben Fogle, presenter of the broadcaster's series New Lives in the Wild, is confirmed for the three-day festival taking place at Barnsley’s Cannon Hall Farm over August Bank Holiday.

He joins top UK dog trainer Graeme Hall of Dogs Behaving Very Badly, and leading TV farming expert, Adam Henson.

Visitors can step into the world of Channel 5’s shows and enjoy avariety of activities at the festival, including panels and Q&As, floristry, pottery, woodwork, arts and crafts, cooking, yoga, bee keeping, baking and countryside skills workshops and demonstrations, and see their favourite stars perform throughout the weekend.

The August Bank Holiday festival is described by the broadcaster as "the perfect British day out and dog-friendly weekend staycation for all ages", with an estimated 10,000 countryside fans expected to attend each day.

Other talent already confirmed for the event includes Helen Skelton, JB Gill and Jules Hudson of This Week on the Farm, who are set to host across the weekend.

Also, appearing is Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen, plus stars of Our Yorkshire Vet, Julian Norton and Peter Wright, and Cannon Hall Farm’s very own famous farmers Dave and Rob Nicholson.

Ticket holders will also be able to take a trip to the on-site country pub and purchase a range of local and home-made food and drinks and enjoy some shopping at the Village Green Food Festival.
