The upcoming blockbuster films and TV shows shot in Yorkshire

Yorkshire's growing reputation as one of the nation's best places to shoot films and television shows has intensified in recent months with a host of blockbuster projects.

Here are some of the biggest features and series to have been linked with the county and coming to the big and small screens.

Channel 5 announced last month the commission of All Creatures Great and Small, a new adaptation based on best-selling author James Herriots cherished and iconic collection of stories. Filming is due to start in August, with a release in 2020.

The i newsletter cut through the noise

Keira Knightley spy thriller Official Secrets is due to come out in October. Places used for filming included Leeds city centres Pasta Romagna restaurant, Chapel Allerton Tennis Club, Roundhay Boathouse and Killingbeck Police Station.
Bradford City Hall and a private home in Huddersfield were used at locations for the next series of Peaky Blinders, and various locations across Yorkshire have been used in the past. The fifth season premiere took place in Birmingham this week.
Sheffield's Warp Films has played a part in Everybody's Talking About Jamie, which shot in the city in recent months and stars Richard E Grant. He plays dress shop owner Hugo and his drag queen alter ego Loco Chanelle.
Series five of the popular Calderdale-based show has been in pre-production. This photo shows a previous filming base in beautiful West Yorkshire countryside.
The European premiere of the film starring Dev Patel, which was partly shot in Hull's Old Town as a mock-up of Victorian London, takes place on October 2.
The film version of the period drama is release in September, and filmed at Yorkshire locations such as Harewood House in Leeds. Pictured is one of the show's stars, Hugh Bonneville.
