Christmas on the Farm will also feature ex-Leeds United and Bradford City footballer Chris Kamara and TV presenter Helen Skelton, who currently lives in the county with her husband Richie Myler, who plays for Leeds Rhinos.
The celebrity trio will be helping to bring some festive cheer to Cannon Hall Farm in Barnsley, which features on This Week on the Farm and Friday on the Farm on Channel 5.
Farmer Rob Nicholson from Cannon Hall Farm, who appears in the show with brother Dave, said: “It’s been a challenging year, we just got into the lambing season and then the farm shut and the world changed when we went into lockdown in March. We started broadcasting daily to people all over the world and were so grateful we were able to help people. It was a two way street, it also helped us.
“This Week on the Farm was borne out of lockdown and was a tremendous success because people got so much comfort from it so we are very proud of what we have achieved this year but the best thing has been the birth of my granddaughter Nelly.
"We really hope the show gives people a lift and brings comfort especially to those who will be alone this Christmas - we will be with them."
Presented by Jules Hudson and Helen Skelton, the show sees Rob and Dave visit a Christmas tree farm near York, pay a visit to Britain’s youngest farmer in Lincolnshire and receive some new arrivals at the farm.
Yorkshire Vets Julian Norton and Peter Wright also appear. Julian takes a look at a new reindeer and Peter joins Amanda Owen as they turn on the Cannon Hall Farm Christmas lights.
JB Gill visits Christmas jumper factory Jack Masters in Leicester and Cannon Hall Farm chef Tim Bilton also makes an appearance to talk about surviving cancer and his work at the farm.
Former football manager Chris Kamara meets his namesake Chris Kllama - a Llama named after him - and also performs his Christmas single.
Christmas on the Farm is on Christmas Eve at 7.30pm on Channel 5.
