Food Matters: Talent runs in family for chef Holly

THE young daughter of a top Halifax chef is already following in her father's culinary footsteps after winning the local heat of the Rotary Club Young Chef Competition.Aged just 12, Holly Marshall from Brighouse was the youngest chef to compete in the contest, which promotes cookery and healthy eating.

Under the expert guidance of her dad, Lee Marshall, who owns the Design House Restaurant at the Dean Clough Centre, in Halifax, and The Rock Hotel, at Holywell Green, Holly impressed the judges with her Thai crab noodle salad and Pernod sauce, followed by a raspberry sable with chocolate cream.
