Hospitals looking for more volunteers

Bradford Teaching Hospitals is looking for volunteers. The Foundation Trust has about 500 volunteers working throughout the Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Luke's Hospital, but they need even more, particularly on the wards, in the tea-bars, as hospital guides and play assistants on the children's units. Volunteers are needed for three to four hours, one morning or afternoon each week.

Cancer patients take to catwalk for charity

A FASHION show at the Queens Hotel, Leeds, raised 5,000 for Breast Care Research Action Group (BCRAG), a charity of Leeds patients and supporters of breast cancer research at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals. All the 13 models had undergone or are undergoing treatment for breast cancer in the Breast Care Unit in the Clarendon Wing at Leeds General Infirmary.
