Health Matters: Soap star backs charity walk
Charlie, who plays Val Pollard in the soap, is urging people to sign up for the first Leeds flagship walk, which is due to take place at 2pm on Sunday.
There are currently over 50,000 people with dementia in Yorkshire, and the money raised by the flagship walk will help them and their families to receive support from Alzheimer's Society.

Heart donation
After a successful year of fundraising, the Leeds
District of Oddfellows is set
to present Yorkshire's own national heart charity,
Heart Research UK with a cheque of over 9,000 this weekend.
More than 100 people will be attending the presentation afternoon at 2pm on Saturday at the Castle Grove Hall, Headingley, Leeds.
The Oddfellows raised funds for the charity after it was chosen by Dr Colin Woodward, their Provincial Grand Master (Chairman), at the beginning of the year.
