Health Matters: Soap star backs charity walk

Emmerdale actress and Alzheimer's Society supporter Charlie Hardwick has stepped up to join the fight against dementia in Yorkshire by supporting the charity's biggest fundraising event – Memory Walk.

Charlie, who plays Val Pollard in the soap, is urging people to sign up for the first Leeds flagship walk, which is due to take place at 2pm on Sunday.

There are currently over 50,000 people with dementia in Yorkshire, and the money raised by the flagship walk will help them and their families to receive support from Alzheimer's Society.
