Olympians skate on thin ice in show

OLYMPIAN Luke Campbell will be getting his skates on in the new series of Dancing On Ice a year.

The gold-medal winning boxer from Hull along with Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle are going into the rink along with Keith Chegwin, who crashed out of the show a year ago after he fell and broke his ribs. The TV presenter was so badly injured last year he had to pull out of the programme.

They are joined in the new series by Baywatch actress Pamela Anderson, X Factor winner Shayne Ward and Lauren Goodger from The Only Way Is Essex. Soap stars Samia Ghadie, who plays Maria Connor in Coronation Street, and Matt Lapinskas, who played Anthony Moon in EastEnders, will also appear on the ITV show, which makes its return on January 6, along with Welsh rugby player Gareth Thomas, Anthea Turner, Joe Pasquale and former MP Oona King.

The show, presented by Phillip Schofield and Christine Bleakley, also sees the return of judge Jason Gardiner, famed for his stinging comments.
