Premiere support from surviving Beatles

THE two surviving Beatles were among the stars who turned up for the London premiere of Living In The Material World, the documentary on the life of George Harrison.

Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr attended the screening of the epic film, which runs for more than three hours, was directed by Martin Scorcese and documents the life of the guitarist who was the so-called ‘quiet Beatle’.

Sir Paul is among the many people who contributed material to help the creation of the film, along with other musicians including Eric Clapton and members of Harrison’s own family. He died in 2001 following a battle with cancer. The film features rare and never previously seen footage to help tell the story of his life.
