Prepare to dazzle in the New Year

MAKE sure you are ready to dazzle for those end-of-year celebrations. Stephanie Smith picks out products that radiate.

There's no point in getting dressed up in your perfect, elegantly sparkling outfit if you don't have the make-up to match.

Don't feel you have to go full-on with the dazzle dust (although there's no reason why not for New Year), but do make sure that your skin has radiance and illumination, as it's the best and easiest way to look younger and fresher.

Start with exfoliation (which you should be doing at least weekly anyway so make it a New Year resolution), and then make sure you use a radiance-boosting primer.

Fresh from her dazzling stint as presenter of Strictly Come Dancing, Tess Daly is a woman who knows how to glow in style, and her Marks & Spencer beauty range has gorgeous, reasonably-priced products designed to bring radiance and shine to all skin types and ages.

For picture-perfect skin, Tess Daly Beauty Daly Light, 9.50, is a quick way to brighten and cheer a tired complexion and, says Tess, it's the ultimate anti-ageing trick. Describing it as her little bottle of wonder cream, she says: "I always apply over my moisturiser and before make-up to illuminate the face and create a fresh, radiant appearance."

Tess suggests you apply a veil of this lightweight fluid, which includes light-reflecting particles, directly to the face or try mixing it in with your foundation to give skin a glowing, healthy boost. "The beauty of it is, you can apply within a few minutes for fab results."
