Tickets for his Leeds Arena show go on sale next Friday, May 24.

Bruce Springsteen will be the first person to perform at the 13,500-capacity venue when he hits its stage on July 24.

Artists appearing during the arena’s official opening season in September include Sir Elton John, Kaiser Chiefs and Andrea Bocelli.

Depeche Mode, Stereophonics, Boyzone, Status Quo and JLS are among the other acts lined up to appear there before the end of the year.

The city council-backed venue will also play host to the BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year show on December 15.
