Twiggy unveils first fashion collection

Model Twiggy has unveiled her debut fashion collection for Marks & Spencer, after almost seven years of modelling the retailer’s clothes.

The Twiggy for M&S Woman label will be available in sizes eight to 24 and ranges from a £12.50 T-shirt to a £79 sequin jacket. M&S described the collection as “chic, modern and stylish” and said it was aimed at women who wanted versatile separates that were beautifully cut in premium fabrics.

Twiggy said: “This range has been so inspiring to work on and is designed to have a really broad appeal. I have such a passion for design and have worked in the fashion industry for more than four decades and truly believe fashion should be stylish and fun. I hope you can see this sense of joy within the collection.”

The launch collection includes soft structured jackets, printed palazzo pants and dresses with belts and scarves to accessorise.

The collection will be expanded to include footwear and jewellery.

M&S executive director of general merchandise Kate Bostock said: “Twiggy has been part of the M&S family for a long time and it’s great to extend our relationship and deliver her design vision.

“She has a unique appeal and wonderful sense of style.

“We are really thrilled with the collection and hope our customers will be too.”
