A week to remember

Wildlife and gardening go hand in hand at RHS Garden Harlow Carr, Harrogate, every day from February 13-21 when visitors can get involved in a host of activities, displays and workshops.

The week kicks off with the British Trust of Ornithology inviting visitors to try their hands at netting, catching, ringing and recording birds in the garden (13-14). There will also be a flying demonstration and a workshop where youngsters can make a bumble bee hotel to take home for their own gardens.

Bee keeping, demonstrations will be held by the Harrogate and Ripon Beekeepers Association on Sunday February 14. They will be on site to answer bee-related questions.

Join in the self-guided nature trail around the garden every day, or go on a guided walk, bird spotting, or make a bird feeder with experts from the RSPB (Feb 15-21).
