Williams ‘still not out of woods’ after food poisoning

Robbie Williams is still in his sick bed and feeling weak after a bout of food poisoning, despite managing a return to the stage.

He and Take That had to pull a show in Copenhagen on Saturday after the singer became violently ill, their first ever cancellation.

The singer returned to the stage in Amsterdam on Monday but said it was “tough”, claiming it was only the crowd who got him through the performance.

In a blog on his website, he said: “Still not out of the woods – would like to give you more details, but my typing fingers aren’t working that well.”

Williams added that he was “still in sick bed”.

He previously posted a picture of himself hooked up to a drip as he battled with the bug.

Take That’s reunion shows feature Williams performing a solo slot of his greatest hits before joining up with the other four members of the group, Jason Orange, Mark Owen, Gary Barlow and Howard Donald.

In his blog he thanked the Dutch audience: “You got me through a really, really tough time.”

The group’s next scheduled show is on Friday at Hamburg’s Imtech Arena.

Earlier this month Williams talked about heading out for solo shows in the future.

“I have solo stuff still to do,” he wrote. “Yes, there will be a solo tour and I’m not sure where I’ll be going yet.”

He left Take That for a solo career and ended long-running speculation by rejoining for the current tour.
