The events at the rock formation near Harrogate have been inspired by visitor feedback, who say it was a place for peace, tranquillity and contemplation.
Mindful May events will range from meditative walks and mindful yoga sessions to full day and overnight mindfulness training, encouraging participants to focus on the moment and learn techniques to achieve peace and tranquillity. The National Trust at Brimham Rocks has linked with yoga expert Caroline Salter and Acorn Wellness Retreat to run the sessions.
Jaanika Reinvald, of the Brimham visitor experience team, has organised the month of events. She said: “Yorkshire gritstone and Buddhist teachings seem an unlikely combination but so many people have told us that they find Brimham Rocks calming and inspirational that we believe it’s the perfect venue for people to learn about and explore mindfulness.”
