52 jobs saved at Leeds-based Bagel Nash as firm is bought out of administration

JOBS have been saved at Bagel Nash after the firm was bought out of administration.

BDO LLP business restructuring partners Graham Newton and Danny Dartnaill were appointed joint administrators of Bagel Nash Limited on 4 August 2020.

Based in Leeds, the company produces and sells artisan bagels, employing 52 people.

Following an accelerated merger and acquisition (AMA) process, a sale of the company’s business and assets was completed on 4 August 2020 to Golden Acre Bakery Limited, which is part of the Golden Acre Food Group.

Graham Newton, BDO business restructuring partner, said: “Due to the challenging market conditions brought about by COVID-19, the company engaged BDO to undertake an AMA of the business and assets.

"Following a successful completion of the sale, all employees have been retained.”

The firm's retail sites remain unaffected, a BDO spokesman said.
