Advice boosts liquid assets for fish nutrition company

Fish nutrition expert New Era Aquaculture is on target to double its turnover to more than £1m with the help of expert advice.

The Doncaster-based firm's recent contracts include supplying one of the largest aquariums in the world, the Dubai Mall Aquarium, which has 33,000 marine fishes.

It has also supplied food to 31 aquariums owned by Merlin Entertainments across Europe and North America, including SeaLife Centres, Legoland, Alton Towers and London Aquarium.

Managing director Peter Kersch has 14 employees and has been receiving expert advice and support from the Manufacturing Advisory Service Yorkshire & Humber in order to double its production capabilities and increase efficiency.

He said: "We are also about to undertake a second MAS project to ramp up production even further to meet the demand for our products."
