Appointments: Business development director post announced

Business recovery specialist Begbies Traynor has appointed Andy Clay as director at its York office. His specialist areas include corporate insolvency and trading insolvencies, particularly within the printing, haulage and fleet management sectors.

Deloitte is continuing to build its Yorkshire team with the appointment of six directors at its expanding Leeds office. The promotions comprise Kristian Shuttleworth, Keith Williams and Matt Brewer in corporate finance, Steve Blacker and Kate Hayes in tax, plus Mark Finch in the real estate advisory division.

Alan Sidebottom, a director at accountancy firm Garbutt & Elliott, has been appointed a trustee of Yorkshire Cancer Research (YCR).

Mr Sidebottom, who specialises in audit at the Leeds and York based company, will be the treasurer of YCR, the largest regional medical charity in the UK.

Turnaround specialist Endless has appointed Kerry Swain as investment executive.

She will be based in the Leeds office and will focus on transactions across the UK.
