Appointments: City’s Chamber of Commerce unveils new sales manager

Harrogate Town Football Club has appointed a partner from law firm McCormicks Solictors as an associate director.

Richard Crabb was involved in the negotiations which saw Irving Weaver take over ownership of the club from Bill Fotherby in June. Mr Weaver has now invited Mr Crabb to join the directors to help steer Harrogate Town to future success.

VINCI Construction UK has appointed Robert Hall as Yorkshire’s new business development manager. Mr Hall joins VINCI Construction UK from ISG, where he was a senior business development manager and education sector lead.

Business performance improvement consultancy The ICE Partnership has appointed Jeremy Thorn as a partnership adviser to its board. Mr Thorn was the founding director and chairman of QED Consulting and past managing director of Bridon International. The company, which is headquartered in Billingborough, Lincolnshire, is expanding into Sheffield.

Copper Dragon Brewery has recruited Craig Borrill as its visitor centre manager. Mr Borrill has previously worked at major sporting venues including Old Trafford and the Ascot racecourse. He was, until recently, the deputy front of house manager at the Angel Inn at Hetton, near Skipton.

George F White Chartered Surveyors have strengthened their Yorkshire team with the promotion of Tom Mason to partner and the appointment of Anna Fell to rural surveyor. Mr Mason joined the firm in 2010 to launch the Shiptonthorpe office. Ms Fell was working for a land and property agency until she moved to George F White.

Carter Jonas has added a new recruit to its growing energy team. Amy Souter has joined as senior environmental planning specialist based at the firm’s Harrogate office to project manage planning applications for a range of renewable energy projects. Her previous experience includes work for two environmental consultancies following the completion of her Masters at Leeds University.

Christopher Martin has been promoted to senior planner at property agent Savills in Leeds, after gaining full membership to the Royal Town Planning Institute.

Steve Cooper has been promoted to commercial director for Belzona Technosol. Mr Cooper joined Belzona in 1989 and has worked in a variety of different jobs, most recently commercial manager for Belzona Technosol.
