Appointments: Clugston Group names new logistics general manager

Construction firm Clugston Group has appointed David Heath as general manager at Clugston Distribution Services, the logistics arm of the group. In his new role, Mr Heath will be looking to develop new business opportunities whilst also consolidating and strengthening the Scunthorpe-based company’s existing revenue streams. He previously worked at TDG, leading its hazardous and bulk operations, and also worked at Wincanton’s industrial operations.

Ernst & Young has promoted Suzanne Robinson to partner in its financial accounting advisory services team. Ms Robinson, who is based in the Leeds office, has worked on a diverse range of clients in the banking, retail and consumer products sectors and spent two years on secondment to Ernst & Young in Russia.

Business advisory firm Deloitte has appointed eight directors to further strengthen some of its most rapidly expanding services. The promotions, across a range of departments in the Leeds office, include Aaron Bissett, Arran Taylor, Stuart Savage, Richard Eighteen, David Brown, Kate Powell, Chris Wildsmith, and Garry Clarke.

Yorkshire Bank has appointed Gill Glendinning as manager of its Halifax branch. Ms Glendinning, who has worked for Yorkshire Bank for 33 years, has held various managerial positions at the bank.

The Leeds office of CB Richard Ellis has appointed Mike Jones as associate director within its valuation and advisory services division. Formerly a recoveries manager at Barclays, he will work on the firm’s extensive client base across the North of England. The firm has also appointed Richard Bean as senior surveyor within its office agency division. He was previously based at Ripley Capital in Harrogate.

Lynne Bradey, who joined the partnership at law firm Wrigleys nearly two years ago, has been appointed head of private client services at the firm’s Sheffield office.

Shredding company Russell Richardson & Sons has appointed a new sales director to drive forward the company’s growth. Mike Cluskey, who previously worked at PHS Datashred, will be based at the firm’s headquarters in Sheffield.

A recruitment company which launched six months ago is expanding following a series of successful high-profile placements in the construction, property and renewable energy sectors. Real estate restructuring and recovery expert Nigel Nattress is joining the Leeds office of Colliers International as director to set up the corporate restructuring team serving Yorkshire and the North East. Mr Nattress previously led corporate recovery services at Knight Frank in Leeds.

Cobbetts has bolstered its Leeds office with three key appointments across its pensions and corporate teams. Simon Evans joins the pensions team as a director having previously worked as registrations and salary cap manager at the Rugby Football League. The company has also appointed associate Alex Birch, who joins from Capsticks, and solicitor Kamar Khan, who will assist in the firm’s expansion plans in the Middle East after previously working at Shearman & Sterling in London.

Harrogate International Centre has appointed three new non-executive directors to its board. Nigel McClea, Maggie Punyer and Richard Taylor will join in late summer.
